Two Good Sam State Directors came up with a way to have some fun while raising money for the Big Sister, Big Bother program. The Great Race was on, between the Maine Potato (Chip) and the RI Quahog (Pearl). As money was raised, Chip or Pearl would move forward a space.
2014
The Great Race spread to each state and was held at each of the State Samborees in the Northeast Good Sam Region. Raising more money for the Big Sister, Big Brother program and other charities.
2015
While the donations certainly helped Big Sister, Big Brother programs, we decided we needed to own and drive the charity and grant "Wishes" towards families with children who stuggled with ilnesses and other challenges. Kylee, a 15 year old young woman that has Stargadts disease wanted to swim with the Dolphins. It was decided this would be our cause for the year and each Samboree raised money towards this goal with the Great Race and other initiatives. This was also the first year of the Family Fest in September at Normandy Farms Family RV Resort to award the wishes to our families and celebrate our donors.

In 2019 we recieved some incredible donations from many of our friends and partners. From a portable fridge/freezer from Dometic Corp, trips from Northeast Whitewater Rafting in Maine, and so many others. We assembled back at Normandy Farms Family RV Resort in September to award our Grants. Ainsley from New York who has [insert condition] and Mila from Massachusetts who is challenged with PANDAS/PANS a neorolgical disorder. Both of these young women are looking forward to their family time at Water Parks around the country. Again a great big thanks to our friends at NERVDA and local dealers including Camping World Berkley, Fuller RV Rental & Sales, Pete's RV Center, and Bradford RV Center.
2020
Throughout 2020 we will continue to raise money to enable our charity that grant the wishes to children and their families.

2021
So many people to thank for making this Northeast Region Camping Charity Halos Wish come true for Ben and his family! New England RV Dealers Association, thank you for making the contacts to help us get an RV and campgrounds for this family to use this weekend. Fuller RV Rentals and Sales for your help in providing the RV for the family! And displaying at our event. New England RV Roof and Bradford RV Center for displaying at our event. Thank you to Pete's RV Center-MA for providing the ice cream for our ice cream social. Thank to the many donors that provided items for our raffle table. To our staff of volunteers, we can not thank you enough for what you do!
2022
We have had a couple of challenging years with fundraising, but we continue to support our communities and will continue to give Halo's Wish Grants.
